Since becoming an Independent Demonstrator for Uppercase Living, I have met some of the nicest people. I appreciate people who are willing to open their homes and invite me in to share my passion for decorating.
Every hostess is unique and each has specific taste. It is always interesting to see what expressions are ordered and where they are going to be used. Open houses are always fun and it never fails that I come away with new friendships.

I love the 4th of July and decided this year to celebrate by making a glass block decorated by an Uppercase Living Block Expression.
Making the Block
I purchased a glass block from Lowes Home Improvement. I then went to Michaels and purchased a variety of red, white and blue ribbon. A wired garland was used to create the curly “sparklers” by cutting lengths and twisting them around the bow.
Displaying the Block
The block will make the perfect centerpiece for my 4th of July picnic table. Since I will have the block, I am planning to use it for a Convention Party. I have always said I believe in the two party system. One party a week is not enough. I now believe in the two Open House system. One Open House a week is not enough.
